Workshops and Walkabout

Dancing skeletons have appeared at a variety of events and occaisions - articulated so they respond to the movements of the performer operating them. Dressed as "Consequence" and "Change" they were part of the Emotioal Baggage Handling crew at Glastonbury Festival, and Lost Vagueness events. They have since been incorporated into Carnesky's Ghost Train, appeared regularly on the childrens field at Guildfest and as part of  the Wreck and Roll Circus. Created using wire and papier-mache.

"M.S. Untergang" was a collaborative project in Berlin, created in response to the oil tanker disaster in Gallicia. The project used only re-cycled materials and involved costume, print making and a large seagull installation. These creations were used at various public events in and around Berlin promoting environmental issues through street art and culture and paraded in a street carnival. A collaboration between "setAlite" and "Fleischerei" ( a community print workshop now known as "Czentrifuga"), and "GoGo Trash".   Also supported by members of the Gallician community in Berlin, who were working as volunteers on the environmental clean-up operation in Gallicia.

These Giant puppets were created during a workshop at R.A.W. Tempel, Berlin a collaboration with Lisa Welsby. Created from whyties and recycled materials.

Vera has since made giant puppets in workshop  situations at Guildfest, and performed walk about with a giant puppet on the Unfairground, Glastonbury Festival.

These sculptures were created during Willow workshops, which ran over two days. The structures can be set on fire, given an appropiate setting, or used as giant lanterns.

This Sea-Horse was created during a one day festival, Patchfest 2014, in the Kids Corner. A Recycling workshop was set up, to collect and utilise bottles found on site, in a creative way.
